TITLE IX, SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND WORKPLACE HARASSMENT
District 233 does not discriminate against any person in any of its education or employment programs and activities on any basis prohibited by federal law or other applicable law, including on the basis of sex or gender, and it does not tolerate discrimination or harassment on the basis of sex or gender. This Policy is to comply with the applicable legal requirements of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 ("Title IX") and its implementing regulations, including the final Title IX regulations issued by the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights in May 2020, which prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex in all of the District's education programs and activities. Any form of harassment is prohibited. Employees are required to treat all persons in a respectful manner and shall engage in no conduct that creates a hostile or offensive workplace. Sexual harassment is prohibited. This applies to all employees, officials, contractors and students.
