Welcome to the Homewood-Flossmoor High School Assessment Department! Our goal is to contribute to H-F's commitment to maximize each student's potential by:
- Coordinating all-school testing
- Measuring student achievement school-wide
- Evaluating school program effectiveness
- Assisting with the identification of students in need of extra help
- Promoting "best practices" in the area of standards and assessment
- Providing students with Test Prep courses for the ACT and PSAT

Testing Days
Spring All-School Testing has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 13, 2022, and Thursday, April 14, 2022.
- FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES — On Thursday, April 14, Freshmen will take the PSAT 8/9; sophomores will take the PSAT 10. Both grade levels will have remote, asynchronous classes on Wednesday, April 13.
- JUNIORS — Juniors will take the SAT in person on campus on Wednesday, April 13. They will have remote asynchronous classes on Thursday, April 14.
- SENIORS — Grade 12 students do not test! They will have a non-attendance day on Wednesday, April 13. They have remote asynchronous classes on Thursday, April 14.

Testing with Accommodations
Testing accommodations are intended to minimize to the extent possible the unintended impact of a student's disability on the measure of each content area performance on the state and district assessments. These accommodations were put in place by the IEP/504 team because it was determined that this additional support would produce the greatest amount of success for your child. It is very important that students take full advantage of all test accommodations in order to maximize success on state-, district- and classroom-based assessments.
