Mission of School Improvement Committee
The School Improvement Committee will recommend, support and evaluate initiatives that address the district's goal of ensuring high achievement for all students; working towards continuous improvement, meeting individual goals for progress, and improving the overall school climate and culture. Members will help to develop the School Improvement Plan and with the restructuring of plans as required by ISBE. This work will be accomplished by the common mission of supporting national, state, and local interests as defined by the strategic plan and goals of the Homewood-Flossmoor High School Board of Education and its administration.
Vision of School Improvement Committee:
The SIP Committee exists as a forum for collaboration among each of the academic department stakeholders - serving as representatives of not only other certified, administrative, and support staff members, but also of the students, parents, and members of the school learning community. The strength of this committee is that it builds upon the varied talents and experiences of parents, staff, and administrators as they work collaboratively to achieve a common mission.
