Homewood-Flossmoor High School offers the full continuum of Special Education services in order to to meet dynamic and individualized needs of the students we serve.

In order to receive special education services a student must meet the eligibility criteria for one of the 13 categories of disabilities as outlined by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act.

In addition to special education services provided through a students IEP plan students with IEPs still recieve services through our mulit-tiered systems of supports.

HF has an active child find process where we proactively seek out students with disabilities in order to provider services they need in order to access a free and appropriate education.

All students who have an IEP have a case manager assigned to oversee their special education services. They are the main point of contact for a students special education team

IDEA requires that school districts provide whatever related services (other than medical care which is not for diagnostic purposes) a child needs in order to benefit from his or her special education program.
