The first regular complete sports season for high school athletics was just completed at H-F, and the school's Track & Field teams ended the year by setting the bar high for our Vikings.
At the Girls' Track & Field IHSA State Meet, the Viking team finished as the State Runner Up overall for the second consecutive year! Junior Ana-Liese Torian captured two 1st Place Awards for the 100m & 300m Hurdles. Senior Alexandria Edison finished in 2nd Place in the 400m, and in 4th Place in both the 100m & 200m races. Additional state competitors were:

- Daija Brown - 800m & 4-x-400 Relay
- Adia Douglas - 4-x-400 Relay
- Lonyea Farrell - Triple Jump & 4-x-400 Relay
- Kyla Smith - 4-x-100 Relay
At the Boys' Track & Field IHSA Meet, H-F added another 1st Place Champion Relay Team: the 4-x-100 Relay (Olusoga Adeyiga, Robert Scott, John Gore & Taji Mathis Akinremi)! Additional state competitors were:
- Damarion Best - 4-x-800 Relay
- Jeffon Dudley - 4-x-200 Relay
- Habtamu Epley - 4-x-800 Relay
- Jerry Hester - 110m High Hurdles
- Dane Ivancevic - 1600m & 4-x-800 Relay
- Denzel Lee - 880m & 4-x-800 Relay
- Sterling Shumpert - High Jump & Long Jump
- Jeremiah Turner - 4-x-200 Relay
The head coach for the girls' team was Terrance Terry; the boys' team was coached by Nate Beebe & Rob Assise.
