Dear HF Families,
HF has been made aware of hoax messages being sent through the National Suicide Prevention Line indicating that a student may harm themself at school. The messages have been sent to a number of schools across the state of Illinois. HF is among those who received a message within the past hour.
It is important to note that there is no credible threat to HF students and staff.
The messages have been tracked to an IP address at a high school in the northern suburbs. We have conducted a threat assessment protocol in coordination with local police.
We are sharing this information with HF staff and families to assure that there is no threat to our school or students. We appreciate your patience and assistance in dispelling any rumors should they be brought to your attention. The school day will proceed as usual.
Thank you,
Dr. Scott Wakeley, Superintendent
Dr. Clinton Alexander, Principal
