New Faces: "A Wrinkle in Time"

Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School’s New Faces Theatre will present A Wrinkle in Time on Friday, Feb. 17, and Saturday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. in the school’s Mall Auditorium. New Faces is for H-F students who are new to the theatrical world and are looking for an opportunity to play a role in a show that excludes seasoned H-F actors/actresses from auditioning. This production is intended to give up-and-coming performers dramatic experience for future auditions. Tickets ($9/adult, $6/student/seniors) will be available at the door.

According to Director Jill Bonavia-Galligani, H-F English teacher, the play tells the story of Meg Murray, her brother and her friend as the three travel through time and space to save her father and humanity. The play — written by James Sie — is an adaptation of the Newberry Award-winning novel of the same name by Madeleine L’Engle.

“This beautiful story reaffirms the importance of embracing our diversity, our determination to make the world a better place and our devotion to those we love,” says Bonavia-Galligani.
