IB CP & IL Career Pathways
The IB CP at HF is designed to increase the rigor in existing courses, adding new IB courses, while advancing Illinois’ vision for high-quality college and career preparation.
Rigor in Existing Courses
Students will choose from new pathways at HF—such as Health Sciences, Finance & Business, Arts & Communications, Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology & Trades, Informational Technology, and Human & Public Services—and pair them with IB Diploma Programme (DP) courses in English, Fine Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and World Language.
Aligned with State Requirements
Illinois requires schools to provide opportunities for College and Career Pathway Endorsements. IB CP supports this through career-related study, early college, internships, and rigorous coursework.
Student Benefits
IB CP students can work toward a state-recognized College and Career Pathway Endorsement while also earning internationally recognized IB credentials and demonstrating the collaboration and leadership skills valued by colleges and employers.
