The purpose of the Computer Club is to provide an atmosphere in which students who are interested in computers and computer gaming can share their ideas, knowledge and proficiency with other like-minded students. The Computer Club meets weekly in the TLC, which has a wide variety of equipment and software. Sample topics include PC design, repair, and gaming. At the end of each quarter the club sponsors a lock-in where students have the opportunity to play a variety of computer games on a computer network.
The Computer Club meets Thursdays at 3 p.m. in TLC.
The Lock-In events typically occur once each quarter near the end of the quarters. The events are a chance for students to engage in extended gaming sessions with their peers at the high school. The lock-ins go from 6 pm to 7 am and are fully supervised by chaperones. An entry fee provides students with pizza and soft drinks for the evening. Please contact a club sponsor for more information about these events. Permission slips are available at the club meetings or from the Computer Services department.
