DELTA – Discipline, Education & Life-skills Training Alternative
The DELTA program is an alternative-educational program that meets the needs of students who are in jeopardy of being expelled. The curriculum is developed in conjunction with the student’s counselor. It is credit-bearing and may include — but is not limited to — the following components:

  • Computer-based instruction
  • Teacher instruction
  • Group projects
  • Conflict-skills training
  • Development of self-esteem
  • School-to-work training
  • Career counseling
  • Community service
  • Independent study

Students who successfully meet their curriculum requirements may choose one of the following as an ultimate goal:

  • Transition back to regular classes
  • Graduation
  • Completion of GED requirements
  • Secure full-time employment
