Spring Play to Run May 2-4

Homewood-Flossmoor High School Theatre will present The Last Days of Judas Iscariot on the Mall Auditorium stage on May 2-4 at 7:30 p.m. Set in Purgatory, this courtroom drama tries to answer the religious and philosophical question: Does Judas deserve eternal damnation or is he worthy of redemption? To shed light on this question, witnesses such as Satan (Paul Spaniak), Sigmund Freud (Maddie Schmidt), Pontius Pilate (Jevon Lyle), Caiaphas (Tyler Maxie) and Mother Teresa (Carly Mayer) are summoned to the stand. At times hysterically funny, more often poignant, Judas puts the idea of forgiveness on trial and asks us to examine just how willing we are to forgive in our own lives.

This H-F Theatre production will be directed by English teacher, J.R. Rose; student directors are Maggie Colton and Annie Riley. Technical director is English teacher, Kevin Wall. Production assistants are Arielle Thomas and Airis Thomas. The show is recommended for ages 12 and up. Tickets ($8/adult; $5/student/senior) are now on sale in the school's Campus Store; they will also be available at the door.
