Important message from H-F High School:
In the afternoon of Thursday, April 28, a student reported that another student made a threat towards the school. Our staff promptly investigated the claim by speaking with all students involved and by checking our surveillance cameras. We did not find a credible threat or source. At approximately 2:50 p.m., the principal received a phone call from a parent referencing a security concern for Friday, April 29.
Our principal, assistant principals and deans were all involved in the investigation, and we have no reason to suspect any threat or concern for students going forward. Inevitably, sending your child to school is your choice as the parent/guardian, but we would like to reiterate that at this time that there is no substantiated threat for Friday, April 29. The safety and welfare of our students is our top concern. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated should new information present itself.
Please contact Principal Dr. Ryan Pitcock (708-335-5540) or Superintendent Dr. Von Mansfield (708-335-5500) directly with any additional questions or concerns.
