The following information pertains to the Board of Education policy regarding
Athletic User Fees. This policy went into effect in the fall of 1996. If you
have any questions, please do not hesitate to call 799-3000.
1.
Question: What athletic activities are required to pay the User Fee?
Answer:
Any participant in a program offered during the school year under the direction
of the Athletic Department. These activities include:

Question: How much is the Athletic User Fee?
Answer:
Every athlete pays $50 per activity. However, there will be no charge for the
third sport in the same school year.

Question: Are there any individuals who do not have to pay the Athletic User
Fee?
Answer:
Yes, an athlete on the Free Lunch Program will be granted a waiver. In addition,
any student fulfilling student assistant positions such as Managers,
Scorekeepers, Statisticians, or Trainers.
4.
Question: When and where are the Athletic User Fees to be paid?
Answer:
Payment must be made in the Athletic Director’s Office within one week after the
team is selected. In "no cut sports," payment is to be made within one week
after the first day of practice. An athlete will no longer be permitted to
practice or compete if payment is not received before the deadline.
5.
Question: Are Athletic User Fees refundable?
Answer:
Only under special circumstances and with the approval of the Athletic Director.

Question: Does paying the Athletic User Fee guarantee playing time?
Answer:
No. Playing time is at the discretion of the coach. |
