Summary: This course is extremely rigorous and fast-paced.  Students should have a very strong algebra and geometry background.  Also, students should be highly motivated and be able to work independently.  This course covers all the topics of College Prep Algebra Two/Trigonometry, but in greater depth.  Additional topics include trigonometry, rational functions, theory of equations, counting techniques and probability.

III Course Goals

1. Students will review the fundamental concepts of algebra.

2. Students will solve, graph, and write equations and inequalities.

3. Students will expand their knowledge of functions and graphs.

4. Students will expand their knowledge of polynomial functions and graph.

5. Students will solve systems of equations and inequalities using matrices.

6. Students will study conics.

7. Students will increase their knowledge about exponential and logarithm functions.

8. Students will study trigonometry.
