Student parking is made available by regulations established through the Deans Office. NO VEHICLE MAY BE PARKED ON CAMPUS WITHOUT A VALID PARKING PERMIT. VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AND/OR TICKETED. Criteria for issuing Year Long Parking Permits. Students must be able to demonstrate the need to park at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in terms of the criteria listed below: 1. Senior students are eligible for parking permits (300 Spaces Maximum) on a first come first served basis. 2. Junior students who are employed as a part of the school program. If not part of school employment program students must have a letter from their employer written on company letterhead as proof of employment. (50 Spaces Maximum) 3. SICA Activities - Athletics NO PERMITS WILL BE ISSUED TO STUDENTS WITH CHRONIC ATTENDANCE PROBLEMS OR SEVERE DISCIPLINARY PROBLEMS. Year long parking permits are $100.00 per year. Loss of a parking permit requires the purchase of another permit ($50.00) Junior permits is $50.00. For Athletics or Sica Activities the cost is based on the length of the season, and the application is distributed by the Head Coach of the sport.
Criteria for issuing Daily Procedures for issuing Daily Parking Permits
A student may have a maximum of four temporary permits per semester with a valid cause. To obtain a Temporary Permit: 1. Present a parental note twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the date of parking to the South Deans Secretary for approval. 2. The note must include the reason for parking at school and the license plate number. 3. A daily per day fee will be charged for all temporary-parking permits ($3.00 per day) 4. In the case of a family emergency, students may be issued a weeklong permit for $15.00. A parental phone call twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the date of parking should be made to Mrs. Rudan in the South Dean’s office. 5. There are no daily permits during final exams in January. 6. Tickets will be issued for parking violations. Fines will be added to the student obligations or Flossmoor Police Dept. tickets will be issued to violators. 7. Any student who parks on the H-F property and does not have a valid parking permit will be issued a ticket. After receiving two tickets, the parents of the student who is parking without a permit will be notified of the accrued fines. If the student parks a third time, his/her vehicle will be towed off of the school property at the owner’s expense.
