(Discipline, Education and Life-skills Training Alternative)

The Delta program is an alternative educational program which meets the needs of students that are in jeopardy of being expelled.

The Curriculum is developed in conjunction with the counselor. It is credit-bearing and may include, but is not limited to, the following components:

 Computer-based instruction

 Teacher instruction

 Group project

 Conflict skills training

 Development of self-esteem

 School-to-work training

 Career counseling

 Community service

  Independent study

 

Outcome of the DELTA Program

 

Students who successfully meet their curriculum requirements may choose one of the following as an ultimate goal:

 Transition back to regular classes

 Graduation

 Completion of GED requirements

 Secure full-time employment
