Recommendation: That the Board of Education authorize the Superintendent to submit the program request for the August 21, 2007 Institute to the Suburban Cook County Regional Office of Education, as recommended by the Superintendent. (Roll Call)

c. Home Economic Bid – Kitchen Appliances

Recommendation: That the Board of Education authorize the purchase of kitchen appliances for the North Building Food Lab from Lorenz Appliances, low bidder meeting requirement of Specification No. 07-03 in the amount of $12,063, as recommended by the Finance Committee, the Business Manager and the Superintendent. (Roll Call)

d. Home Economics Bid – Cabinets

Recommendation: That the Board of Education authorize the purchase and installation of cabinets for the North Building Food lab from Custom Wood Designs, low bidder meeting requirement of Specification No. 07-04 in the amount of $24,625, as recommended by the Finance Committee, the Business Manager and the Superintendent. (Roll Call)

e. Home Economics Bid – Countertops

Recommendation: That the Board of Education authorize the purchase and installation of countertops for the North Building Food lab from Custom Wood Designs, low bidder meeting requirement of Specification No. 07-05 in the amount of $11,500, as recommended by the Finance Committee, the Business Manager and the Superintendent. f. Replacement Lighting Equipment for the Mall Auditorium

Recommendation: That the Board of Education authorize the purchase of replacement lighting equipment for the Mall Auditorium from Norcostco Technical Sales, low bidder meeting requirement of Specification No. 07-07 in the amount of $37,507, as recommended by the Finance Committee, the Business Manager and the Superintendent. (Roll Call)

g. 10-Year Health/Life Safety Survey

Recommendation: That the Board of Education authorize Dahlquist and Lutzow Architects, Ltd., to conduct the ten year life safety survey and safety reference plan as required by the Illinois State Board of Education in the amount of $62,300, as recommended by the Finance Committee, the Business Manager and the Superintendent. (Roll Call)

h. Athletic Training Services

Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve a contract with Athletico Employment Services, LLC., to provide athletic trainers for the 2007-2008 school year in the amount of $24,000 as recommended by the Finance Committee, the Business Manager and the Superintendent. (Roll Call)

i. Personnel – Resignations/Employment Contracts/Extra Responsibility

j. Approval of Expenditures

Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the proposed expenditures in the amount of $2,227,546.51.

k. Reimbursement to the Imprest Fund

Recommendation: That the Board of Education authorize the reimbursement to the Imprest Fund in the amount of $33,814.12

l. Ratification of Payroll

Recommendation: That the Board of Education ratify the July, 2007 payroll in the amount of $537,176.32.
