Art Classrooms


The art department is located in lower G. We currently have three art rooms in this area. Each room is used for specific areas of the curriculum with specific set ups. In addition, some classes are held in the tech center.

photo of G4 art room G-4 is used primarily for Fundamentals of Art, 2D Studio 1, and Sculpture class. Students work at tables that can be placed in different arrangements for different activities. Sinks, storage, and still lifes fill the perimeter of the room. A wall of windows allows natural light in.

G-5 is the photo classroom. Photo 1 & 2 are taught in this room. The room consists of a classroom area, computer desks in back, and a portrait alcove with a backdrop and lighting equipment. A wall of windows allows natural light in.

In addition to the classroom, there is a processing room for B&W film processing. A large darkroom is connected to the classroom which features 12 enlarging stations and two large sinks.

photo of G6 art room G-6 is used primarily for 2D Studio 1, 2D Studio 2, and Art Concentration. Students work on drafting-tables, with still-lifes, book shelves full of resources, a sink area, and storage. A wall of windows adds natural lighting.
photo of tech lab The Technology Labs (238k quicktime VR movie) are also used to teach Computer Graphic Design and Electronic Imaging. We have three state-of-the-art labs that include a projection system mounted on the ceiling which is connected to the teacher's station, 31 computer stations and 3 color printers.
