Assignment/Grading/General Information
Assignments fall into one of two categories:
Prep Work
This work is designed to teach the student new skills, information, or software. This work prepares the student for the more time consuming projects. This includes but is not limited to worksheets, sketchbook assignments, and in-class exercises.
Projects
Projects take multiple class days to complete and involve a great deal of student choice in the final product. Projects compromise the bulk of the student’s grade each quarter.

Grading Periods
All assignment, project, test and quiz points are added together at the end of the quarter and the end of the semester to calculate grades. The resulting grade is based on the amount of points the student earns over the course of the grading period.

Grading Scale
A 100-90
B 89-80
C 79-70
D 69-60
F 59 and below

(Parents and students: please consult individual teachers for grading policies, extra credit info, class procedures, etc.)
