Light As Subject

Light is a very powerful tool that can be used to capture the viewer's attention to a certain area of a photo. One of our class assignments was to use light as the subject. That means we had to find light that causes a particular object to have a new look to it or more character. There are many different forms of light, such as soft or harsh light which creates different moods in photos. Natural light creates more of a soft effect while man-made light is harsher. These are a few examples of our class's work from this assignment.
