The Art Department at Homewood-Flossmoor High School offers traditional art courses as well as courses specifically designed to use technology. Electronic Art, Computer Graphics, and Design for Desktop Publishing are courses designed specifically to teach technological skills in art using various software programs.

Electronic Art


The following works were created by students in Electronic Art class. Students were given a scanned image of a hand to import into the ColorIt software program. Each student had to create three different finished artworks using the scanned hand as a starting point. Students painted over the image, repeated the image, used filters and further manipulated the images to create a variety of finished pieces. Below are some of the finished works.
