This is the official website of Homewood-Flossmoor High School's broadcasting program, including WHFH radio and Viking Television. Information on radio programs, television features, documentaries, and much more will be posted here. The site is still being updated, so be sure to check back for updates on HF's broadcast program!
Broadcasting at HF is a four year program, beginning freshman year with Intro to Broadcasting and Broadcast Production 1, the sophmore year with Broadcast Production 2, and then Junior and Senior year when students take Broadcast Seminar, the highest level of the program.
When first entering the program, students learn the history of broadcasting in the semester long course Intro to Broadcasting. Second semester, they begin to write, direct, and produce video features in Broadcast Production 1.

During their second year, broadcasting students write, direct, and produce a 55 minute radio documentary. This documentary reflects the vast majority of the student's grade for the year, and a successful documentary is required for advancement in the program.
Students who complete the documentary project then advance to Broadcast Seminar, a year long course that can be taken multiple times. Students in this class produce Viking Television and run WHFH. This is the highest level of the HF broadcasting program.
