The documentary project is one of the defining characteristics of the broadcasting program at HF. In their second year of the program, students write, direct, and produce a 55 minute long radio documentary. These programs are broadcast live on the air. At the end of the year, students vote for the year's top doc. This project has been a VBC tradition since 1966, and a fully completed documentary is still a requirement for advancement in the program.
