Enrolling at H-F


Enrollment at Homewood-Flossmoor High School is restricted to residents of District 233.

New enrollment to H-F is a three-step process:

  1. Proof of Residency
  2. Placement Test
  3. Counselor’s Appointment


  1. Proving residency in District 233 for new students (Questions? Please call 708-335-5594):

    Proof of Residency Checklist

    [  ] Copy of monthly mortgage statement or recent closing papers, or current original lease with name and telephone number of the landlord.

    [  ] Required:  Utility Bill - NiCor or ComEd

    [  ] Supply one of the following:
          □       Water hook-up with Village verification
          □       Current bank statement with in-district address
          □       In-district vehicle registration
          □       Check stub with name and in-district address

    [  ]  Supply one of the following:  
           Current Auto Insurance Policy or current Homeowner Insurance

    [  ] Illinois Driver’s License with in-district address

    [  ] Student’s Birth Certificate

    [  ] Transcript from previous high school or elementary school diploma with last report card

    [  ] Student  State Transfer Form from previous high school along with a copy of most recent physical and complete discipline records

    [  ] Divorce Decree (first page, last page and the section showing custody) if applicable

    [  ] Court Ordered Guardianship Papers, if applicable

    [  ] If an incoming Freshman, a recent physical with updated immunizations

    If any of the above information is missing, it will result in a delay in the enrollment process.

  2. Placement testing for incoming freshmen is held in early December. For more details, please call 708-335-5651.

  3. After your placement test, you will be scheduled to meet with your guidance counselor to determine your class schedule. 

  4. Transfer students to H-F can get assistance their first few weeks at our school through the H-F Ambassadors Program.
