Principal Position

The Homewood-Flossmoor High School District 233 Board of Education announces the commencement of a search for a new Principal for Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School, who will assume responsibilities on July 1, 2017. This is an outstanding professional opportunity for a qualified, exceptional, and experienced professional administrator to provide leadership at a high performing high school located in the southern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. District 233 serves nearly 3,000 students from the communities of Homewood, Flossmoor and portions of Chicago Heights, Hazel Crest, Olympia Fields, and Glenwood. The diverse student body is provided with comprehensive and high-quality programs to ensure students are well prepared for college and careers. Each student’s success is the focus with small class sizes, challenging academic programs, and numerous extracurricular and athletic opportunities.

Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence three times by the United States Department of Education. Only 14 public schools nationwide and two in Illinois have been so honored. In 2013, Homewood-Flossmoor High School was designated as one of the best high schools in the United States by Newsweek, “America’s Best High Schools,” and the Washington Post, “America’s Most Challenging High Schools." The staff and students have received many additional academic, extracurricular, and athletic awards.
