VII. A WORD FROM THE INSTRUCTOR
As a physical education instructor, I believe the health benefits from regular physical activity can be obtained through various methods. Research supports that physical activity among children, adolescents, and adults is essential because of the following improvements to ones health: cardio respiratory function, blood pressure control, stress reduction, and weight management). My students are quite aware that I am a person first and a teacher second. Because of this, I am more successful in reaching out to and relating with all different types of students and their personality types. If I can influence students to become knowledgeable in the physical benefits of exercise, while being engaged in fun and challenging fitness activities, I can feel proud and honored to have been a part their life-long learning process.
