AP/IB Final Exam Relief
For students who have sat for AP and IB end-of-course exams this May, taking the 2nd semester finals in their AP and IB class is optional. Students' 2nd semester grades will be based on their 3rd and 4th quarter grades with each representing 50% of their final semester grade.
Students who have sat for an AP or IB exam but feel the final exam will benefit their 2nd semester grade may opt to take their AP or IB course final. Their 2nd semester grade will be factored as stated in the course syllabus.
Any student who did not sit for the AP or IB end-of-course exam must take the 2nd semester final. The final exam grade will be factored as stated in the course syllabus.
With the exception of graduating seniors, all AP and IB students are required to report to their AP and IB classes on final exam days. AP and IB teachers will inform their students about plans specific to their classes, for both students who will and for students who will not be taking final exams.
